UFC 198 takes place this week, and ahead of the Brazilian show, fans are invited to a few pre-event activities.
UFC 198 takes place Saturday at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Prior to the star-studded show, fans are invited to Wednesday’s open workouts and Friday’s weigh-ins. However, space is limited.
Wednesday’s workouts takes place at Arena da Baixada, and attendees can enter through Gate A. Doors open at 10 a.m. BRT local time (9 a.m. ET), but space is limited to the first 1,999 fans.
Scheduled to attend the workouts are the headliners: heavyweight champ Fabricio Werdum (20-5-1 MMA, 8-2 UFC) and Stipe Miocic (14-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC); co-headliners Vitor Belfort (25-11 MMA, 14-7 UFC) and Ronaldo Souza (22-4 MMA, 5-1 UFC); and Brazilian main-card fighters Anderson Silva (33-7 MMA, 16-3 UFC), Cristiane Justino (15-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Mauricio Rua (23-10 MMA, 7-8 UFC).
Friday’s weigh-ins also take place at Arena da Baixada, and doors open at 1 p.m. Fans can receive a ticket to attend by donating one powdered milk can per ticket at the arena’s box office through Friday. The schedule includes a 1:30 p.m. meet-and-greet (with Kelvin Gastelum, Charles Oliveira, Thiago Tavares, Camila Oliveira, Jhenny Andrade and Luciana Andrade), a 2 p.m. Q&A session (with Jose Aldo, Amanda Nunes and Claudia Gadelha), and the 4 p.m. weigh-ins.
